SPECIAL NOTE: ALAN SCHNEIDER WINS 1ST PLACE IN 4 WAY JUNE PRIMARY WITH 44% OF THE VOTE FOR JUDICIAL OFFICE NUMBER 117.  In the November 2nd runoff, Schneider, rated Well Qualified by the L.A. County Bar and endorsed by every newspaper that covered the race, faces a single opponent who received less than 30% of the vote.  Schneider has unified the justice system behind him as he is endorsed by the District Attorney, the Public Defender, and more than 100 Superior Court Judges.

Alan Schneider

My name is Alan Schneider.  I have spent the last 15 years as a Deputy District Attorney seeking justice for the residents of Los Angeles County – protecting the public from crime, giving a voice to crime victims and their families, upholding the integrity of our court system, and ensuring due process for the accused so that the innocent are not wrongly convicted.

I have tried over 100 jury trials, including 40 homicides, with a 94 percent conviction rate. For the last 7 years, I have specialized in prosecuting complex murder cases against gang member defendants who pose the greatest threat to the public’s safety and the quality of life in our communities.

I have always believed that my calling was to serve and protect the community at large. Two years after graduating in the top 10% of my class at the University of California, Berkeley Law School, I decided to “put my money where my mouth was.” I left a lucrative position at a large law firm, joined the District Attorney’s Office, and dedicated my career to making our community a safer place to live.  I am asking for your support to help me become a Superior Court Judge.

"ALAN SCHNEIDER, a Los Angeles deputy district attorney, is far and away the worthiest of the candidates in this particular judicial race, and might well be the premier aspirant in all of the three open-seat contests."

"...We strongly endorse him for election to Office No. 117."
